Dis basic.  Net om te kan loop.  Hierso trippel ons almal rond en alles, maar sy wil net 'n basiese ding hê wat so ingeprogrammeer is by ons as mens.

Hierdie uitstappe het vir my nou soveel meer motivering gegee vir die projek en nuwe horisonne vir my oopgemaak (as ek dit so kan stel).  Nuwe idees.

Every Human Has Rights

Today is International Human Rights day and what are you going to do about it?  Tell you what.  Take off your shoes and join the awareness against poverty.  It's easy.  It's free.  And it's quite fun actually.  You will get a strange look here and there, but imagine the lives of other who don't have any shoes at all.  Exchange your shoes for a weird glance and help make people aware that there are other people who are not as privileged as we are.

Have a look at this campaign, they are busy with an amazing job.  The also give me so much opportunities for my own project and I am helping them out as well.  Their Facebook is Every Human Has Rights and also go have a look at their website Barefoot Against Poverty.

Hoe groot is jou wêreld?

Dit wil jou net meer laat help (which is a good thing).

Terwyl ons so sit en kuier vertel sy my van die karwagte wat afgedank is by 'n sekere sentrum. Ek was regtig geskok. Ek meen, kan jy 'n karwag afdank? Come on!

Getting the deeper meaning

Impulsive at Amanzintoti for a road trip
These guys took one for the team.  I must say this is the worst I've had with my feet.  From jump starting cars, stepping in countless pieces of glass and just burning on very hot tarred surfaces, I really started to realize how it must be to not even own a pair of shoes.

That is the whole idea behind this project.  That is exactly why I am doing this; so that you can relate to other people not having shoes.  Here we are, can't even decide on which pair to wear.  I want to make people, especially students, aware of poverty, of what is going on around you.

International Human Rights day is coming up the 10th of December, and I want everyone reading here to join it. Put yourself in the "shoes" of poverty and see what it feels like going without shoes. For more information on this go check out their site at www.barefootagainstpoverty.org or their Facebook and become a warrior against poverty.

You will really start to appreciate what you have.  I have been doing this now for almost seven weeks.  My feet are getting strong but sometimes you just miss your shoes.  But after a long day of traveling around and stepping in all kinds of stuff, the wash makes it all better again.  You will see how important your feet really are.

I think if all of us can stand together and work as one man we can change the lives of a lot of people.  We can be the water washing them clean again. Give them hope, dreams.  Give them something to look forward to.

Let's do this. Let's give back to the community and let's help  a brother/sister out.
